2.1EVO Basic Features

Basic Item Card

The Basic Item Card includes all the item information. Emphasizing the basic key information, and hiding the detailed information within links.

Touch Invoice

The POS Touch Invoice was designed to be used for simple orders that need to be done quickly. It is designed for a touch screen computer, but can be used with a keyboard and mouse. Although it is intended for the quick sale, it has the capability to complete special orders, layaways, and drop shipments.

Purchasing

EVO provides Purchase Orders for you to use to when ordering items. You can email or print Purchase Orders directly from the software within Purchasing. This feature will help you easily keep your inventory stocked.

Receiving

Receiving Logs allow you to receive items from Purchase Orders. The functions within the Receiving Logs will help you quickly receive items while automatically updating your database.

Customers

The Customer Card is used to store information about your customers. When a customer has a Customer Card, they can be entered into an Open Invoice and are then able to earn rewards points, pay for transactions on account, and you can view their purchasing history. (Payments on account are only available when using the Pro version of EVO.)

Vendors

The Vendor Card allows you to store information about the vendors of the items in your inventory. You will create a Vendor Card for every vendor that you order items from. The vendor will be assigned to the items on the Item Card and entered into a Purchase Order.

Transfers

Transfer Cards can be used to transfer items in and out of your inventory. These cards are especially useful for receiving in-store deliveries, making trackable inventory adjustments, and when performing assembly or conversion with items in your inventory.

Quick Add Items

The Quick Add Items is a faster way of adding items to your database. You select the fields from the Item Card that you want to enter, and you can add multiple items at one time without the hassle of creating a new card for every item.

Serial Numbers

EVO provides the Serial Number feature for you to track items with serial numbers. Serial numbers are tracked from both Inventory and Sales. You can also do Physical Inventory by serial number.

Barcode Labels

Evo gives you the ability to print barcode labels from the software.

Physical Inventory

The Physical Inventory process is simplified by providing various methods of collecting and reporting data then updating inventory records. You are able to take physical inventories on selected groups of items, ignoring the rest of the inventory at that time.

Special Orders

Special Orders easily allows you to create, track, and fill all special orders made by a customer. You have the ability to collect deposits, auto-order items, and allocate items to specific special orders.

Layaways

The Layaway feature allows you to place an item on layaway, hold the item for the customer, take payments on the item, then complete the layaway.

Till Management

Ending Tills allows you to balance each register in the store. It helps you obtain information about sales and methods of payment for the entire store. It makes a great summary page of the transactions for the day.

Gift Cards

EVO allows you to sell gift cards to customers that can later be redeemed at your store. Gift cards can be created in specific dollar amounts or the dollar amount can be determined at the time of purchase.

Rewards Points

The rewards feature allows you to track customers and their spending through implementing a rewards program.

Importing/Exporting

The Import Manager gives you the ability to import multiple items, customers, or vendors from a spreadsheet document. All the reports within EVO can be exported into Excel.

Price Codes are a quick way to discount specific items for specific customers.

Accounting Interface

EVO allows you to gather accounting data from your database ans to summarize it into accounting journals. By using these journals you can fully interface EVO with a third party accounting software.

2.2EVO Core Features

Retail Invoice

The Retail Open Invoice has all the functionality needed in an invoice, and is simple to use. It has the ability to perform Special Orders, Layaways, and Drop Shipments, but can also be used for the quick sale.

Item Grid View

The Item Grid View gives you the ability to see all your items at once or you can search the items to view a specified group of items. Item editing can be done from the Item Grid View.

Core Item Card

The Core Item Card allows you to see all the available information about an item quickly and easily.

P.O. Wizard

The P.O. Wizard has the ability to help you in calculating what may be the best number of items to order depending on the item's max stock, reorder point, or sales history.

Time Clock

Time Clock is used to track and manage employee hours. Employees use the time clock to enter arrival and departure times, as well as adjust any missing or benefit hours. Managers use the management features to approve adjusted hours and print payroll reports.

Work Order & Quote Management

EVO has the ability to print a Work Order or a Quote from an Open Invoice.

Drop Shipments

Drop Ship is used when a customer orders an item(s) that is not in stock and the customer wants to have it shipped directly to them. Drop Shipments are done quickly through the Open Invoice.

EVO has the ability to track sales by employee.

Privileges

Every employee is assigned specific privileges. The purpose of privileges is to choose what functions your employees are allowed to perform within the system.

The Builder feature allows you to take different items from your inventory and build a kit.

Date to Date Pricing

Date to Date Pricing allows you to set up a date range and offer promotional prices for specific items during the defined time period.

EVO gives you the ability to give discounts based on quantity. (BOGO)

Barcode designer lets you create your own labels within EVO.

Styles

For some items, such as clothing, one item may come in various sizes, colors, etc. To accommodate all the different variations of items, you can create a style grid. The style grid will allow you to enter all the information regarding one item and its different variances.

Return to Vendor

In EVO, when a customer returns an item that cannot be returned to the shelf because of damage or faulty product, it can be returned to the vendor.

Define-A-Report

Define A Report is a variable report generator that allows access to the POSIM database and helps generate customized report in the desired formats. Define A Report can be a valuable tool in managing your business if used as designed.

2.3EVO Pro Features

Order Invoice

The Order Invoice displays the ordered, remaining, and shipped quantities along with credit card information, available credit and allows you to lock invoices and hold inventory. It is simple to use and allows you to view more information at one time.

Event Manager

Event Manager is used to set up and track events, those attending an event, and any materials or fees associated with an event. The Events Card contains all the features needed to enter information about an event, and the attendees are added through the Open Invoice.

Accounts Receivable

Accounts Receivable gives you the ability to set up, track, and manage a customer's account. At the time of sale, or at the time of payment received, a record is created on the Customer Card in the AR tab. Most customer transaction information can be adjusted from the Customer Card or you may use the Open AR Batch. You may charge interest to past due accounts, generate customer statements, or print reports summarizing your Accounts Receivable.

Recurring Billing

With Recurring Billing you can automate the process of posting batches of invoices. This feature is very handy if you bill periodically for products or services. For example if you offer a "product of the month" club, or payment for monthly subscriptions.

2.4Add On Modules

Integrated eCommerce

The POSIM eCommerce system provides automatic inventory uploads to your website and seamless order processing within EVO.

Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager is individualized email and postcard marketing powered by POSIM. It's an online tool that integrates with EVO to help you easily and quickly send professional looking html emails and postcards.

Mail Chimp Linker

MailChimp is a third party email marketing provider. With their service you can send marketing emails and schedule recurring campaigns.

Credit Card Processing

Simplify the processing of credit cards through POSIM’s secure, integrated credit card processing module, PayStream.

MultiSite

EVO MultiSite is a management solution for businesses with more than one retail location. EVO MultiSite facilitates the flow of critical management information between the individual store databases and a central (corporate) database, securely hosted by POSIM on the Amazon Cloud. This critical information provides management at the central site the ability to monitor the activities and needs of each individual store, along with the data to efficiently manage resources across the enterprise.

iPOSIM

The iPOSIM app extends the reach of your POSIM EVO retail management solution. The app allows you to connect your iPad/iPhone/iPod to your POSIM EVO database and process sales and control inventory while on the move.
